The Tiburon Challenger has a proven history as a springboard for rising professional men’s tennis stars. Ben Shelton, the 2022 finalist, advanced to the semifinals of the 2023 US Open less than a year later.  With a serve clocked as high as 149 mph, he is currently ranked 17 in the world! Other past contenders include Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Michael Mmoh, Cameron Norrie, and Christopher Eubanks.

      The Tiburon Challenger is an $80,000 professional men's professional tennis event held at the Tiburon Peninsula Club. This year marks the 17th year of the event, which has a rich history as a springboard for up-and-coming players.

      • Qualifying draw singles (24 players)
      • Main draw singles (32 players)
      • Main draw doubles (16 teams)

      What are the dates of the tournament?
      The Tiburon Challenger will take place from September 29 - October 6, 2024. Tournament dates by round:

      • Singles Qualifying - Sunday, September 29 - Monday, September 30 (win 2 matches to make main draw) 
      • Main Draw Singles begins Monday, September 30
      • Main Draw Doubles begins Tuesday, October 1
      • Doubles Final - Saturday, October 5
      • Singles Final - Sunday, October 6

      Are there any special events at the Tiburon Challenger?

      How do I get tickets? 
      LiveStream is available on the USTA NorCal ProCircuit website.

      What are the VIP packages?
      VIP packages include a 6-seat courtside box for the entire tournament, plus additional special events, and weekend hospitality. To purchase a VIP box please email us at [email protected].

      Are there sponsorship opportunities available?
      Sponsorship opportunities are available for 2024. Please contact us at [email protected].

      Will the event be livestreamed?
      All three match courts will be LiveStreamed online for FREE on the USTA NorCal ProCircuit website.

      Who has played in the tournament in past years?
      Ben Shelton played in the tournament in 2022 and less than a year later advanced to the semi-finals of the US Open!
