Day 2 of the First Republic Bank Tiburon Challenger ended with great tennis, but no major surprises.
Top seed Benjamin Becker (GER) was extended by qualifier Nicolas Meister, but prevailed with a 7-6, 2-6, 6-1 win. Second seed James Blake (USA) toped Alex Kuznetsov (USA), 6-4, 6-4.
Play continues tomorrow morning at 10 AM at the Tiburon Peninsula Club with Matt Reid (AUS) playing Bobby Reynolds (USA) on the Stadium Court and Robert Farah (COL) taking on two time NCAA winner Steve Johnson (USA).
