Wild card Mackenzie McDonald prevailed over no. 4 seed Frances Tiafoe in a closely-fought match, while qualifier Michael Mmoh dispatched no. 2 seed Bjorn Fratangelo, and Darian King overcame no. 5 seed Dennis Novikov. With Smyczek versus Mmoh and King versus McDonald, the semifinals promise some exciting action on the court on Saturday.
